This privacy policy explains how the Oxford Psychedelic Society (OPS) uses the personal data we collect from you when you sign up for the OPS newsletter or any of our events.

1. What data do we collect?
The data we may collect is your first name, last name, and email address.

2. How do we collect data?
You directly provide us with the aforementioned data via online sign-up forms, which are hosted by either the OPS website or 3rd-party service providers.

3. How will we use your data?
We will use the data to send you information about OPS and its events.

4. How do we store your data?
The data will be stored on Google Drive and MailChimp servers. The access to data is limited to members of the OPS committee. In the case of newsletter sign-ups, we will keep your data for 5 years following receipt, but in the case of event sign-ups - for up to 2 weeks after the event. After these time periods your data will be permanently deleted from the aforementioned sites.

5. What are your data protection rights?
OPS would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights.
Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request OPS for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that OPS corrects any information you believe to be inaccurate. You also have the right to request OPS to complete any information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that OPS erases your personal data.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to OPS’ processing of your personal data.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that OPS transfers your data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.

6. When this policy applies
This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of your data by OPS. It does not apply to:
3rd-party service providers which may be used to collect and store your data (e.g. MailChimp, Google)3rd-party service providers that you might use to engage with the OPS (e.g. Facebook, Zoom, Twitter, etc.)
These companies are bound by their own privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to this policy
We might make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. The last changes to this policy were made on 16/05/2020, and older versions of this policy can be accessed by contacting us.
